Attention all caterpillar scale model enthusiasts! After three decades of collecting these intricate replicas, I decided to launch a website where fellow collectors worldwide can appreciate my collection. The journey began with snapping photos using my first digital camera and sharing reviews on the Dutch Bouwmachineforum. Over the next couple of years, the idea of creating a dedicated website for Caterpillar scale models took shape, culminating in today's launch of CaterpillarScaleModels.com on my birthday, October 17th. The website is currently like a vast house waiting to be filled with my extensive collection of Caterpillar scale models in 1:48 and 1:50 scales. I invite you to support this project by providing missing information, model photos, custom designs, or models not yet in my possession. With your help, I hope to complete listing all my models within the next two years, despite my boss not compensating me for this project (unfortunately!). Moving forward, I will gradually add models to the website and welcome any comments or assistance. I am grateful to my wife Margreeth for her patience and support, as well as my friend Yannick, aka Doctor Fix, for developing and maintaining the website.
