I own an 80 HP ASV SR80 and need to clear out fallen branches from oak wilt, prickly ash, and buckthorn. The Buckthorn trees have a diameter of over 3 inches and are extremely hard wood. I am considering the Brush Shark, which has a "tree trimmer" version that allows for improved vertical positioning for trimming overhanging branches. However, I am hesitant about its high price of $5500 and the legitimacy of the company. Alternatively, there are reputable rotary brush mowers and brush hogs available for track loaders like mine. I have a maximum flow rate of 30 gpm at HIGH flow. Can anyone share their experience with the Brush Shark? What rotary machine do you use and how does it compare to the Brush Shark in terms of performance and ease of use? Are there any rotary attachments that offer better branch trimming capabilities?
