Our Allied 8700 Ho-Pac, now known as the 1000, has been a reliable tool that is widely used in our area. The only issue we encountered was a bearing failure in the counterweight, which was an easy fix despite the machine being 10 years old. Have you already set up your machine for a ho-pac or breaker? Some Allied packers may still have a small pipe plug near the bearing side of the motor, where the drain line was typically connected. Allied is a well-known brand in this area, but I personally prefer the BTI Hoe Pac. What sets the BTI apart is their innovative cushioning system. Unlike traditional rubber cushioning, BTI uses a honeycomb design that I believe is more durable and effective. This design reduces tearing compared to other models with side-mounted rubber cushions. I currently own a Kent Hoe Pac, which I find to be just as sturdy and reliable.
