I am currently looking into the Glenn Manufacturing MUTT trailer, which is short for Moveable Undercarriage Tilt Trailer. Any guidance or tips on this product would be greatly valued.
Upon reviewing their website, I noticed a lack of detailed information regarding the construction of their trailers. It would be beneficial to learn about the construction of the slide, the type of suspension used, and whether the structural members are made from mill run material or higher tensile steel. Which style of trailer are you interested in? I recommend requesting detailed drawings and component specifications from them to compare with other brands in the market. This will help us make a well-informed decision.
I am searching for a specific type of trailer that fits my needs. It seems that the factory employees are not very responsive in addressing customer inquiries. Should we both try reaching out to them to find out more information?
Good morning, Ian, this is Tom Glenn Sr. from Glenn Manufacturing. We specialize in custom manufacturing and can tailor our products to meet your specific needs. For the undercarriage, we typically use standard structural materials with some exceptions. Our suspension system features a single point suspension with all cast attaching parts, a technology exclusive to Glenn Engineering. We typically use Dexter 12K and 15K axles, which are highly popular choices. Our standard MUTT frame is constructed with A36 12x25lb channel, but we also offer the option to use Domex, a high-tensile material. Ian, I hope this information is helpful. If you would like a quote or have any questions, please let me know. You are always welcome to visit our facility. Have a fantastic day! - Tom Glenn Sr.
I have had a change of heart regarding their lack of interest in answering questions. I reached out to them at 6 am and received a response by 10 am.
It is recommended to exercise caution if the slide is integrated into the frame and A36 conventional structural steel is utilized, as it may scuff and shear the metal. Consider using Domex for its abrasion-resistant properties and compare pricing for both options to make an informed decision.
