It has been months since we last saw anything but rocks. Here are some photos of a new development project we are working on: 1. Clearing a steep slope where we made a large excavation. 2. Dealing with the toughest rock we have encountered, spending two full days with a 4000lb breaker to chip away maybe a yard of rock for a sidewalk. 3. Managing the complex network of dry utilities including gas, phone, TV, and electricity. 4. Enjoying a decent view, although it can be frustrating watching others have fun on their boats all day. 5. Standing at the base of the same slope shown in photo 1.
1. Enjoy connecting to essential utilities while navigating a 10-12 foot vertical rock face. 2. The red line represents the original grade, with excess material from blasting used to create the lower building lots and road. The lower lots were filled approximately 30 feet, while the excavation shown ranged from 10 to 30 feet deep.
Our location is covered in mud, it's crazy! We have some stunning photos. Can you tell us where they were captured? 👍
Thank you for sharing the photos. Is this considered a "luxury" real estate project? I can't think of another housing development that required so much rock excavation. Is this location in high demand? It appears to be a costly investment for residential properties. By the way, how's your Hyundai holding up after all the work?
Hey there, looking sharp! Are you prepared for the upcoming storm set to hit on Thursday? Weather experts are predicting winds of 60-70 MPH, possibly even stronger. It's highly likely that power outages will occur in our area. Stay safe and be ready!
It seems like you had a great time doing this job! Did you rent an articulated hauler or transport the blast with your dump truck? The pictures look awesome! 👍
