Hello everyone! I recently acquired a pre-owned New Holland LS170 skid steer with 3400 hours of operation. It requires some minor maintenance, but overall it's in decent condition. I need some assistance with a few issues. Firstly, I am in the process of changing all the fluids and am having trouble locating the hydraulic fluid drain plug. I am also unsure where to check the fluid level for the hydraulic system. While I know where to drain the chaincases, I am unsure where to refill them. Additionally, the skid steer tends to move forward slightly when idling. The left hand control is stiff, preventing any creeping motion, whereas the right hand control is loose and causes the skid steer to move by itself. Your assistance with these issues would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Greetings everyone! I recently acquired a pre-owned New Holland LS170 skid steer with 3400 hours of use. While it does require some minor maintenance, overall it's in decent condition. I'm encountering a few issues that I could use some help with. Firstly, I'm in the process of changing all the fluids but I'm having trouble locating the drain plug for the hydraulic fluid. Additionally, I'm unsure of where to check the fluid level for the hydraulic system. I know where to drain the chaincases, but I'm uncertain about where to refill them. Another issue is that the skid steer tends to creep forward when idling. The left hand control is stiff and does not have this issue, while the right hand control is loose and causes the machine to move forward on its own during idle. Any assistance on these matters would be highly appreciated. Thank you for your help! To adjust the skid steer to neutral, you'll need to jack up the machine on wood blocks with all four wheels off the ground, raise the loader, and lift the seat to adjust the pumps to their neutral positions. The fill location for the chain case is located between the wheels on the side cover. You can check the hydraulic oil level with the loader down and the rear hood open. Look on the right side of the machine for the full mark on the plastic tank. If you provide your email address, I can send you the manuals for further assistance.
I have shared my email with you. Much appreciated!

Apologies for revisiting an older discussion, but I am excited to share that I have just purchased a pre-owned LS170, marking my entry into equipment ownership. As a newcomer to maintenance procedures for this machinery, I am actively seeking information to guide me. Specifically, I am planning to begin by changing oils and would greatly appreciate any manuals or guidance you can provide. Thank you in advance for your help!

Answer: - The creeping issue on a New Holland LS170 skid steer can be related to the control levers. A stiff left hand control may prevent creeping, while a loose right hand control can cause unintended movement. Adjusting the control levers or seeking professional assistance for calibration may help resolve this issue.
