southernman13 reported owning a powerful 72" diamond mower that rivals mulchers in some applications. They also mentioned having two mulchers. Are you using blade or disc type blades on your mower?
As mentioned by user southernman13, the Diamond 72" mower is an impressive piece of equipment that excels in cutting and grinding, almost rivalling a mulcher in performance. Despite its high cost, investing in a Diamond mower could potentially open up new job opportunities. However, starting out, it may be wiser to allocate the extra funds towards other attachments or equipment that can help generate more income. In the future, a Diamond mower may be a worthwhile investment, but for now, it may pose too much of a financial risk.
When it comes to brush mowers, I have to say that the Diamond Mower, like the one owned by southernman, is a great investment. While it may come with a higher price tag compared to other options on the market, I have found it to be completely worth it. As they say, you get what you pay for. I purchased a slightly used Diamond Mower from Diamond Mowers, which was a demo unit for a new dealer. By buying used, I was able to knock about $1k off the price. This mower is well-built and has proven to be effective on tough vegetation like sagebrush, willows, and aspen found in Northern Nevada. Despite its heavy weight, it is exactly what I needed in a brush cutter to handle tough brush without bucking or jumping. I also use a Favre grapple, which is strong and on the pricier side, but I wouldn't choose any other attachments. Living in a rocky area, I need reliable machinery that can handle the rough terrain, and both the Diamond Mowers and the Favre do just that. Additionally, I operate both of these attachments on a Takeuchi TL150 with 23 gpm hydraulic flow.
NVtracks shared his experience with the Diamond Mower brush cutter, highlighting its superior quality and performance. He emphasized the importance of investing in high-quality equipment, stating that the higher cost is justified by the machine's durability and effectiveness. NVtracks also mentioned his use of a Favre grapple attachment, emphasizing the need for heavy-duty machinery to handle tough terrain and rock obstacles. Running both attachments on a Takeuchi TL150 with 23 gpm hydraulic flow, he expressed interest in potentially upgrading to a 72" mower from Diamond Mowers to enhance efficiency, despite his machine having a lower gpm flow rate of 18gpm.
High blade speed is crucial when choosing a brush mower to ensure optimal performance. It's important to match the size of the mower with the capabilities of your machine. Consider checking out the CID mowers for a high-quality and affordable option. I purchased mine from MarkSupply on Ebay and had a great experience dealing with them. Recently, I upgraded to a 72" Diamond mower to increase productivity and take advantage of my new machine's enhanced flow and pressure. While the Diamond mower's deck is superior for mulching, the decision to invest an additional 4-5k over the CID is still up in the air. However, the direct drive and heavy-duty spindle setup of the Diamond mower suggest it may have a longer lifespan. I plan to test both mowers extensively during my upcoming 30 hours of mowing in overgrown pastures and wooded areas to determine which one performs better.
In the world of brush mowers, blade speed is crucial. It's important to match the size of your mower to the capabilities of your machine. CID mowers are known for their great value, and I highly recommend checking them out. I purchased mine from MarkSupply on Ebay and had a great experience. Recently, I upgraded to a 72" Diamond mower to increase productivity with my newer machine. The Diamond mower's deck is well-designed for mulching, but I'm still undecided if the higher price tag is worth it compared to the CID mower. However, I believe the Diamond mower's direct drive and heavy-duty spindle setup may provide better longevity. I plan to put more hours on it to make a fair comparison. I have a lot of mowing to do in the upcoming weeks, including overgrown pastures and wooded areas. Despite considering other dealerships, I am still inclined towards the CID mower due to its affordability and its ability to meet all my mowing needs as I enter the market.

User f311fr1 shared their positive experience with the CID X-treme piston motor Brush Cutter, which is compatible with machines like ASV RC85, ASV RC100, and CAT 289D operating within the 17-27 GPM range. I am considering purchasing this attachment for my Tak TL230 in the 60" size. I am hesitant about the investment and want to ensure it will be utilized enough to be cost-effective and profitable in the long run.

Todd v. expressed that these attachments are extremely useful and tend to impress people with their capabilities. I may need to take the plunge and invest in one to see what type of business opportunities it can generate. It will be a valuable addition to my collection of attachments.
Just purchased a 60" low flow CID piston drive cutter and couldn't be happier with it. Only had limited time to test it out, but I'm already impressed with its performance.
I have been researching various brush cutters and it's been overwhelming trying to separate the misinformation from the truth. I am currently waiting for a quote from my local dealer on a Blue Diamond cutter, as I have been comparing prices. The CID cutter is also under consideration. While I appreciate the affordability of the MTL cutter, dealing with the owner has been a bit challenging. Additionally, SkidPro recently offered me a discounted price on a new industrial open front cutter, reducing it by $1500. It seems like SkidPro may be more of a reseller, as their manufacturing and office facility appears to be small based on their website.(comment: Might want to add a unique selling point about the cutters you are looking for)
I recently purchased a 60-inch Eterra Typhoon attachment from Skid Steer Solutions and I must say, it's an incredible machine. I use it with my high-flow T595 for efficient brush and tree cutting. While there is a bolt-on cover for mowing, I personally prefer the open-front option for more serious tasks. I have been using it for three summers now and have only had to replace the blades. Although it's not a traditional mulcher, I am satisfied with the finish it leaves behind when back dragging with the nose down. You can see a picture of it on my avatar. Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase and have no regrets.
Apologies for the tardy response. I may have missed your message. Our mower is equipped with blades rather than a disc mower, and it has proven to be an exceptional cutting tool. I highly recommend investing in a high-quality cutter, like the diamond mower we have. It is extremely durable and has stood up well to heavy use. I have not personally used a disc-style mower, but I have heard mixed reviews about their performance. It is worth investing in a heavy-duty mower to ensure it can handle the workload.
The miniature tank caught my eye, I'll definitely take a closer look. Thank you for pointing it out.
After requesting a quote from a dealer, I discovered that they sell products from the factory, but instead, they sent me a quote for a Bradco. I am unsure as to why this happened, but I plan to clarify with them after the holiday. SkidPro also sent me a quote for their industrial cutter, priced at $7800 including shipping. While the cutter looks decent, I am hesitant as they appear to be a call center reseller rather than a manufacturer. In comparison, the top-of-the-line Bradco quote is $8800 with tax but without freight, and it will be delivered to me directly.

Have any of you had experience with the QuickAttach Brush Buster? I'm curious to hear feedback on its durability and performance. It appears to be a sturdy attachment with a competitive price point. I personally haven't used it, but I have spoken to their sales team online and watched their videos on YouTube. However, I found the price to be a bit high for my budget. Can anyone confirm if QuickAttach manufactures their own products or if they outsource production?
Three years ago, I purchased a Blue Diamond 60-inch low flow cutter with 3 blades. This amazing attachment experienced a motor leak just one month after the warranty expired, but the company promptly replaced the motor at no cost. This cutter works like a charm on my s220 standard flow skid steer, effortlessly handling sage brush, willows, and small trees. Its performance and price make it a fantastic investment for any landscaping or farming needs.
Absolutely amazing! My cutter is high flow and super durable.
