Troubleshooting: Case 821C Loader Parking Brake Issue

Question:

The loader is experiencing a problem where the parking brake is not releasing, causing it not to move. Despite having a new accumulator charge valve and correct pressures, the indicator on the dashboard for forward, neutral, and reverse is not lighting up after the loader is started. The ECM seems to be receiving signals correctly, and all switches have been checked and appear to be functioning properly. Where is the signal for the indicator on the dashboard coming from? If you have any insights or suggestions on what could be causing this issue, please share.

Is your diagnostic display functioning properly? Ensure that pins 1 and 2 have power when the key is turned on. Have you checked for any error codes? Are your brake lights operational? Have you inspected for any stuck declutch or brake pedal switches? One is typically open while the other is normally closed. Also, have you examined the brake pressure switch? A minimum of 900psi is required to activate the switch.

The new accumulator charge valve is operating at a pressure of 2500 psi, cycling as intended. Previously, we experienced unstable low pressure and the valve did not cycle. All diagnostics have been successful except for the shifter icon. The declutch and brake pedal switches were tested with a voltmeter and both are functioning properly. The brake pressure switch is also in good condition based on the diagnostic center readings. The brake lights were not inspected. When referring to pins 1 & 2, are you talking about the plug at the rear of the diagnostic center? There are error codes present that will need to be reviewed again.
