Troubleshooting Control and Linkage Issues on a Case 1835 C Gas Model

Question:

Hello everyone! I'm seeking guidance on how to properly adjust the linkage on this machine. Upon startup, it immediately veers to the right, and there are also control issues with the left bucket control, causing it to both curl and raise simultaneously. There seems to be a lack of independent operation. Any tips on where to begin troubleshooting? Thank you!

The control rod adjustment for the machine is located under the floor board, with one on the right side and one on the left. To adjust, first undo the lock nut on the control rod and then adjust the clevis until the machine is in Neutral when starting up. It may take a few attempts to get it right. While you're down there, inspect all linkages for any signs of wear or looseness. Otherwise, it could be challenging to achieve the desired adjustments. Safety is paramount, so always work cautiously. Make adjustments with the engine off, then test while seated in the cab or with the machine securely blocked off the ground to avoid accidents. If you're unsure about the extent of the linkage involved in the bucket controls, starting there is a good idea.

Is this machine brand new, or did it unexpectedly begin acting up?
