Hello experts, I recently purchased a tractor from an auction and encountered issues with its hydro transmission. The tractor moves forward and reverse, but not efficiently. Possible causes for the issue may include cavitation, plugged ports, plugged filters, poor linkage adjustment, a bad pump, or low oil levels. I suspect there may be a problem with the linkage adjustment or a sticking high pressure valve. The tractor has a 290 engine and a unique serial number HH 400946R4. Despite its rarity, the machine does not yield productive results in serial number searches. It is a loader with a 3pt hitch, not a backhoe like some models. Any advice on where to start troubleshooting would be appreciated.

I discovered a solution by removing the top cover beneath the floorboard. Inside a square block cover are two valves with O-rings, one of which was burst. There is also a plastic washer that I couldn't find. Initially, I was told to use only one O-ring, but it didn't work. Eventually, I used two O-rings, which solved the issue. The machine is now functioning properly, and I have extra rings for replacement if needed. Best of luck with your repairs!
