My vehicle is experiencing a loss of forward motion while still able to go in reverse. I recently replaced the faulty top solenoid on the transmission's side, but the issue remains unresolved as only reverse is working. The bottom solenoid does not seem to be activating at all. What could be the cause of this problem?
Ensure that your machine is equipped with two hydrostatic motors - one located on the front of the transmission. The motor on the right side should have two solenoids, one on the top and one on the bottom. If you're experiencing issues with power, try swapping the two solenoids to determine if the problem lies in the forward or reverse functions. Don't forget to check the top solenoid for forwards movement.
Answer: Answer: The issue could persist if the bottom solenoid, responsible for engaging forward gears, is not functioning properly or if there are other underlying transmission issues.
Answer: Answer: The bottom solenoid may not be activating due to a faulty solenoid itself, electrical issues, incorrect installation, or further transmission problems that need to be diagnosed.
Answer: Answer: You may need to inspect the bottom solenoid, check the electrical connections, ensure correct installation of the top solenoid, and possibly seek professional help to diagnose and address any transmission issues causing this problem.
