After observing silently for some time, I am finally making my first post. Recently, I acquired an A25C for agricultural use. The machine appears to be well-maintained overall, but there is one particular issue that has me stumped. Upon startup and after building up air pressure, all lights on the dashboard turn off. However, trouble arises when the retarder pedal is touched. Activating the retarder causes the hydraulic pressure warning light to illuminate (number 3 light on the A bank of warning lights hydraulic brake pressure) and the transmission goes into neutral. To resolve this, the key needs to be cycled off and on again. It seems like an electrical issue, and I would appreciate any guidance on troubleshooting the retarder circuit to resolve this problem effectively.

Thank you, Nigel, I will get right on it.
Answer: Answer: The described issue is likely related to an electrical problem within the retarder circuit of your machine.
Answer: Answer: To troubleshoot the issue, you may need to inspect the wiring, sensors, and connections related to the retarder system to identify any faults causing the hydraulic pressure warning light to illuminate and the transmission to shift into neutral.
Answer: Answer: The dashboard lights turning off after startup and air pressure buildup could be indicative of an underlying electrical issue that might also be affecting the operation of the retarder system.
Answer: Answer: Cycling the key off and on may temporarily reset the electrical system, but to address the root cause of the problem, a thorough inspection and troubleshooting of the retarder circuit are recommended.
