Adjusting the points was crucial, and though I'm not certain if it meets specifications, the spark it produces is impressive. The next task is to replace the fuel line due to the leakage from the original braided steel line. Finding the right thread size for the ends has been a challenge, as many bolts are non-standard sizes like 7/32, 11/32, and 1 3/16. Additionally, the bolts inside the magneto are metric, adding to the difficulty. Despite these challenges, the machine should now function properly. The handle return springs may need some adjustment, but manually lifting the handle quickly triggers a spark.
