Yale GLC050 Truck Valve with Steering and Hydraulic Relief Adjustments - Service Manual Needed

Question:

I am currently lacking a service manual for the Yale GLC050 truck/valve, specifically the Yale 9099166 valve. I am curious if anyone has any familiarity with this valve or a section of the manual to provide. The valve has two relief adjustments - one for steering and one for other hydraulics. The caps were removed for the picture. Thank you.

There is a valve with a small "port" located just above the STOR plug. What pressure can be sampled from this port? Thank you.

I trust that you have resolved your problem by now. However, the two relief valves located on the control valve serve as the main relief and auxiliary relief, specifically for the side shifter or any additional attachments you may be using. Additionally, there should be a priority valve designated for steering functions. Locate the pump and trace the discharge line to find it. If you provide more details about the issue, I can offer further assistance.

Paul Council mentioned that he hopes the issue has been resolved. The two relief valves on the control valve are for main relief and auxiliary relief, specifically for the side shifter or any other attachment. A priority valve for steering should be located near the pump, which can be found by following the discharge line. In the case of the machine in question, Hyster typically has a priority valve integrated into the pump's rear cover. If the original pump failed, it was replaced with a Parker P-16 pump and a cost-effective adjustable priority valve was added for improved performance. For further assistance, more details about the specific issue would be helpful.

In fact, it is important that you prioritize servicing your steering and transmission systems over any lift modifications.

TVA mentioned that the steering and transmission should take precedence over lift operations, as indicated by the valve section's function. Adjusting the smaller relief valve has helped in regulating steering pressure, although the main hydraulics are functioning well without adjustment. There is another relief valve on the control valve for auxiliary relief. To address steering issues, locate the priority valve by following the discharge line from the pump. Paul Council suggested looking at previous posts to understand the issue better. The valve and orbital steering valve were sourced for a compact loader rebuild from a fork truck. Adjustments were needed as the fork truck required a lower steering pressure than the loader. The search for the priority valve continues, and further adjustments will be made accordingly. Thank you for your assistance.
